Dalí and Gala (and their entourage of accompanying dwarfs, models, sailors and starlets from the silver screen) are invited because of the absurdist touch that they will bring with them.

Perhaps Mister Dalí can make one painting himself, for a change? He hasn’t been doing that since the early days of his success. (Read: Laureyssen’s ‘Dalí and I’). Paint, magazines and newspapers are ready for usage in the corner.
